DSİ (Kahramanmaraş/Turkiye) Menzelet P6 pump station, 6 piece 6 kV-300 A medium voltage soft starters were preferred for 6 kV-2.200 kW-230A pump motors.
In the system, MV soft starters were used separately for 6 pump motors. In line with the end user’s request, a 6 kV level 300 A German-made Igel brand IP54 soft starter was delivered.
The aim is to reduce the demurrage current that occurs in the motor during the first start-up and to prevent electrical and mechanical shocks.
In addition, the motor is fully protected with a motor protection relay (MPR) for each motor.
